I often run a list with a full fire team of five samurai type guys in power armor plus some ninjas and even though nearly everyone in the list is strong in melee, I don't expect to rely heavily on it. But, even your melee models still carry guns so you're not restricted to this as your only game plan. Sometimes this is done with smoke, sometimes with clever movement or attacking people from around the other side of a corner (super jump and climbing plus on the Shikami help), and sometimes with hidden deployment so you can ambush something. You're not generally going to make melee your main game plan and you DO need to have some way to deliver guys into melee. I play Yu-Jing so I know more about them. It's also used for capturing some types of objectives. Willpower is used as a morale check at times, as well as for many specialist skills like doctoring, engineering, and hacking - so PanO may not excel at these things.

They're also a high-tech factions which means they have more visors and TAGs. PanO: Generally speaking, they have +1BS compared to most factions so they're 'good at shooting'. There are 22 missions and they get minor updates each season. But, their playstyles are generally more similar than different Warmachine factions - for the most part all factions have access to a lot of the same skills, tools, and weapons. All factions are viable so it basically comes down to picking who you prefer based on playstyle, story, and appearance. Looking like this has more in common with malifaux with how it's objective focused. I currently play warmachine (played cygnar, menoth, currently play circle) and used to play malifaux (Outcasts). Looking at their pros and cons I'm trying to figure out which ones would have a playstyle that I would like (only problem is that I don't nessisarily get the mechanics). Having trouble choosing a faction by pure looks (pretty much all of them look amazing).
